No, I’m not talking about a Portuguese speaking girlfriend, I’m talking about that weird looking, weird tasting tree nut. On their own, they’re not much. Raw (and organic), they taste slightly unpleasant, and a little metallic (probably because they’re loaded with metallic nutrients we all need). Roasted, they taste slightly better, which isn’t saying much. But combine them with other things, like my bread recipe, or paleo parmesan, and they’re delicious! And when you roast one fresh (20 minutes on a cookie sheet at 350), and then eat them hot out of the oven while stuffed inside an organic date? Man, it tastes like a Chinese BBQ Pork Sticky Bun! It’s just two ingredients, but there are a million flavors and textures going on! Try some SOON!!!!!
