I have to apologize for the pics. I started eating before I remembered to take pictures, so you’re seeing things that have already been started. This is the kind of Chinese food that I grew up with in Brooklyn, East Coast Americanized Cantonese, where there are more Jews than Chinese people eating.
Every meal starts with crunchy noodles! Served here in a classic cracked bowl. We consume mass quantities of these with duck sauce and hot mustard to dip them in before the meal even gets ordered. Then we get more after we order, and put them in our soup! And speaking of soup:
Wonton in Egg drop. My favorite. Maybe my favorite meal ever when done right. This isn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it got the job done! I add hot mustard to this as well as the crunchy noodles. I was almost done when I remembered to take a picture for you hungry bastards (I find it funny that my readers like to see what I cheat with even more than they like to see what I normally eat on paleo).
Yang Chow Fried Rice. To me, a little tastier than regular fried rice. Another of my favorites (shit, they’re all my favorites, or I wouldn’t be wasting a cheat meal on them).
Vegetable Lo Mein. Barely remembered to take a pic of this, and as you can see, all the veggies have been picked out and eaten.
Also consumed were spare ribs (pic came out too blurry), and egg rolls (completely inhaled before remembering to take a pic).
Going into Manhattan for a week now, where there will be hot dogs, and pastrami, and of course, more pizza! Someone remind me to take a picture before I eat it all again (I’m channeling my inner fat bastard this week).
